What teaching methods are used?
The Institute believes in course sessions with as much discussion and participation as possible. Lectures are limited. Everyone participates during sessions. A course workbook containing an Institute Manual, session program agendas, faculty biographies and course outlines and materials, is provided to each attendee.
Who are the faculty?
Faculty for the institute are drawn from all areas of the member districts and from outside the member districts. Many are present and past RI directors, present and past district governors, successful past presidents and those with experience in special areas. Our own District Governor Shelby Rhodes and District Governor Elect John Shockley are faculty members. The teaching style is facilitation to allow participant to share their experiences and ideas.
