Submitted by Lois Bhatt (lois.bhatt@gmail.com

On March 24th, Scott Spelker, a successful real estate agent and noted local historian, will tell the tale of the notorious “Kluxen Murder,” a still-unsolved crime that occurred 100 years ago in a quiet Madison neighborhood. The murder of a12-year old girl still remains unsolved. Scott will review why and how suspicion fell on 14-year-old Francis Kluxen who lived near the crime scene. A lifelong resident of Madison, Scott has served as a Madison Historical Society Board member. His love of local history brought about annual events such as Madison Magical History Trolley Tour and the Halloween Presbyterian Cemetery Tour.
