NEWS FROM THE BRANCHVILLE ROTARY CLUB

Omicron forced us to cancel our holiday party, but we are undaunted.  Going back to Zoom for the next month or so.  We are gearing up for the Chili Open Golf Classic on February 5, 2022, at the Sussex County Fairgrounds.  Check it out.  This United Way event now in its 20th year has had our club in charge of getting food donations from local restaurants and serving both breakfast and lunch to hungry golfers and volunteers.  If you love to golf, you will love this event.  It sells out fast!

Before we closed down for 2021, our club collected over $300 at our last in person meeting to send to the Mayville (KY) Rotary Club to help with tornado relief.

Next week we will honor a student of the month from High Point Regional High School and we will hear from Kendrya Close of the Foodshed Alliance on how to stay healthy in the new year.

Lots of good things on the horizon, including our Club’s 65th Anniversary celebration.  More to come on that.
