The District 7475 District Wide Raffle is designed as an easy way to provide money back to your club for your charity budget…or to non rotary 501c3 organizations sponsored your club. The District Foundation does the administrative work, you sell. Over the past 5 years approximately $128,000 has been raised for the club’s charitable causes.
Half the ticket price (minus the costs - printing and license fees) comes back to your club's 501(c)3 or the charitable 501(c)3 organization that your club sponsors. IRS rules require 501(c)4 clubs to document the charities to whom they give the money. We expect to have the tickets ready for distribution by mid January 2019. All monies must be spent for charity and the clubs must be able to document how it is spent.
Now that we have 87 clubs, our goal is to sell 7,500 tickets realizing $150,000 in gross sales... which is the equivalent of each Rotarian in the district selling only 4 tickets at $20 each. While this is a good buy for Rotarians, we are equally interested in having outsiders participate. Your participation is strictly voluntary and we will not pressure you at all. We know that some will not be able to sell any tickets, while others will sell a lot... and that sponsored organizations can also sell many more
